A Surprise Proposal at Camp Lutherlyn: Shane & Evie

Some of the best moments are the ones you don’t see coming. Shane planned a beautiful surprise proposal for Evie at Camp Lutherlyn, and I was lucky enough to be there to capture it all.

A few weeks before the proposal, Shane reached out and asked if I would hide nearby and photograph the moment he asked Evie to marry him. With a little help from his mom, the perfect spot was set up with a cozy blanket, flowers, and a mum marking the location.

Evie had no idea what was about to happen. Shane led her to the spot, and then came the moment they had been waiting for — he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife!

Being able to quietly hide nearby and capture the surprise, excitement, and emotion of a proposal is one of my favorite parts of being a Pennsylvania proposal photographer. These are the moments you only get one chance to photograph, and I love preserving them so couples can relive the excitement for years to come.

Congratulations, Shane and Evie! What a beautiful way to begin this next chapter together. 💍
